I lived in southern Kentucky for a few years. Even a handspan of snow is dangerous for a few reasons.

a) It’s very hilly. Gravity + momentum.
b) Hills mean shifting light and shadows. Snow turns to ice.
c) Municipalities & people don’t have the equipment or expertise.

Man, I love the Winter Olympics so much! I can’t get enough Olympic coverage. Every name, record, and hometown gets absorbed, and then watching events later somehow has personal meaning. Sounds dumb maybe, but it’s what I do.

2025 also saw a decrease of American residents entering Canada, and that's a bit less extreme. American residents entering Canada decreased by 6.3 per cent from 2024.
