That round was tough to watch

Vicki Peterson’s guitar was fantastic on their version but they missed out 1 verse of the original and it always irked me (I was a vodka and lime drinker in my college days 🫣)

I don’t think its better but The Bangles version of Hazy Shade of Winter runs close to the original

I was glad to see it wasn’t just me who noticed it.

Im a long time listener of that podcast and in the last few months the tone/content has changed dramatically. I listened to about 20 mins of that episode and gave up. Lots of the comments reflect a similar discomfort with his usual audience

I hate voice notes intensely & never use them but Id be happy with 36s. I have to play a colleague’s at 2x speed to get them down to about 2 min.

Was always a parer or even paro when I was in primary school in Cork city. Topper crept by the time I was in uni but I blamed the blow ins for that

I can’t dissociate Love Spreads from Eamon Dunphy - forever meshed in my brain.

Thats what I dont get. They’ve done so well in some places but this looks like someone sabotaged it and mixed up a few different plans. The ugly screw though the information as gaeilge just caps it off.

Unfortunately there’s a few around that might air their spare room for him

I sent my sister in the UK a photo of that recently 😅 It was great fun to play on as kids but if you fell off any part you knew all about it as my Mum would say

Same and was hoping it might be better than the photos but some of these look like its worse than I thought. People will get used to it but its just not nice. I also hate that the back wall is gone - It was a separate entity before, its a thoroughfare now.

Its all I can see. I was trying to reserve judgement but after seeing those ugly handrails in your photos - I don’t think when I see it irl that my opinion will improve.

The more photos I see the more horrendous it appears. Where is the beauty bar the trees and the fountain snd they are dwarfed by the ugliness.

Bleak

Its not even original - looks like they cogged someone’s homework from 80s - at this this fits well with the Boole beyond it.

He’s the tánaiste/minister for Foreign Affairs- can he just go have the discussion with his cabinet then and stop with the dog-whistling.

The amount of tax-payer money that these same people have handed to greyhound racing in the last few years would pay for this hospice for children with life-limiting conditions. The existence of one is contingent on private charity, the other has it's existence guaranteed by the state. Priorities.

My first secondary school was the old AOH building in Cork city -originally built in 1845 - recently demolished for a hotel. The AOH snooker hall remained in place when I was there - members used access it via stairs passing our classes 🥴
Changed school to a convent built in 1810 - now apartments.
