Um, don’t follow me if you can’t be bothered to fill out your bio. Because I’ll just block you.

Sorry not sorry.
Went to see if I could catch the Aurora. Cloud is covering right now but you can see the pillars coming through. It is creepy! No colour though. Just weird all around.

Interesting. Posts about cooking, even without photos, are making it into the discovery feed.

I do not want to go to work today. I am hoping a lot of people booked today as a vacation day (which I should’ve done)

I am laying on my side in bed and the dog is curled up behind me and the cat is laying on my hip. No such things as personal space 😂

Last night I cooked up ground beef and lentils and onions and then this morning I threw them in the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients for chili, and it was bomb. So good.

I got my skates sharpened today and then skated for over an hour - what a difference. They had been factory sharpened but they just didn’t feel right. Now I can stop and skate backwards. Working towards learn backwards crosscuts. I even did a decent spiral (only on one foot though lol)

Hey HalCon peeps, can I bring water and snacks in with me? I couldn’t find anything in the FAQ

I took the dog for a walk at lunch, in the cold (I had to wear my winter coat!). I had hoped it would leave me a bit more energized, but I really just feel sleepy and unmotivated to work 🫠

How much do I love Joni? I named a kid after her.

I grew up listening to Joni and still do. The complexity of her vocals and her poetic lyrics make for interesting and influential music.

And my Joni is blonde with a November birthday too, which makes it an extra fitting name.
Happy Birthday, Joni Mitchell! 🎸
What's one of your favorite Joni Mitchell songs or collaborations? 🎶

Got my mammogram today and treated myself afterwards. If anyone is nervous and wants to hear from a big-boobed girl, here’s what I can say:

They have generously sized gowns for plus-sized gals like myself. Very roomy.

The staff are absolute professionals but are also very warm and kind.

Question.

I genuinely am so naive.

But prior to teams and zoom, how did companies merge and stay connected and build a culture?

I am asking because I’m in a recently merged org that has all the tools to connect but often we aren’t connected. If that makes sense. Wondering what I can change.

I know we were not prepared for the time change but this is what I’m really not prepared for.

Feels like -5? 😩

Oh ALSO I bought the dog calming treats in hopes she would let me groom her more easily. Gave her one, half an hour later she was hyper playing with me. Waited longer and she got tired but the second I picked up her paw she was like “nope!” And wouldn’t come near me again.

Today was crazy for a Sunday. Made bagels, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, took the dog for a walk, drove one kid to a birthday party in Dutch settlement and the other to a birthday party in Enfield and got groceries and dog food before picking them up. Stopped home to drop off groceries

I hate time changes. J is up far too early, and Luna will not get out of my face. I do not want to be awake.

We did a bottle drive this morning for the skate club. The kids took a bit to warm up and a hockey team cleaned out a couple streets last week so it was slow going.

However, they got lots of Halloween candy to fuel them and they petted lots of dogs, and got great intel for next Halloween 😂
