Very glad to see our blogpost out in this excellent VB debate! In the blog we analyse the AIA's exception to the prohibition on real-time biometric identification system, and emphasise the potential risks that may come from this exception.
The AI Act's exceptions to the prohibition on real-time biometric identification reveal a lack of harmonization and clear safeguards, potentially exacerbating risks to fundamental rights and regulatory coherence, according to ALICE GIANNINI and SARAH TAS.
