@ec.europa.eu just published updated measures that the platforms will go for under the EU Code of Practice on Disinformation.

BUT they have been renegotiating their commitments... 🔽

The Draft General-Purpose AI Code of Practice takes a curious approach to framing ‘persuasion and manipulation’ as one of the systemic risks (since it includes indirect implications of AI for the media sphere). However, further concretisation & operationalisation will likely remain a pressing issue
