Wonderful edited volume on Cosmopolitan Communication Studies out. It's edited by a group of scholars, headed by Carola Richter (FU Berlin) and comes with a chapter of yours truly where I use cosmopolitan critique to dissect media to AI governance studies:

Great to see Canadian Tri-Agencies FINALLY include foreign PhD students into their funding schemes!
Up to 15% of all doctoral awards is not much, but it's a start towards acknowledging international students have financial needs, too. www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/NewsDetail-D... @sfucmns.bsky.social

After the federal election in Germany, everyone is speaking about "winners" and "losers". Let me be clear, an election in which over 20% chose a far-right political party has no winners! #bundestagswahl #Germany #election

There is an upcoming election in Germany. I live in Vancouver. I tried everything to be able to vote. My local election office sent the election ballot on February 3rd as priority mail. So far, nothing has arrived. Many others are affected, too. What is about our right to vote? #Bundestagswahlen

I dedicated years of my life to reporting on January 6 and exposing what happened. I was there that day, co-wrote a book, and published a series of major stories on my own, for Rolling Stone, and for TPM.

I hope it mattered. I hope history will remember and understand what happened.

Wild to realize Bluesky has more than doubled its user count in <2 months to 12.5M users.

Growth is kinda crazy, the spikes are significantly larger now and despite having 6M users 2 months ago we're still capable of this kind of massive growth in such a short time.

Glad to have you all here.
