Alice Wong has passed away and the disability community has lost a leader. I lost a mentor and a friend. The Disabled Ginger wouldn't exist without Alice and everything she taught me.

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

update: we're still in the hotel. mom mentioned there's no more flood but still no power in our area. there's another big typhoon coming into the country too. I almost caught a fever as well but I'll be okay. I'm so tired. I really miss my home and my room ;-;
