Children in Need raises money for some fantastic work, but it also highlights the huge funding gap in services. These shouldn't be an "extra" funded by generous donations, they should be statutory services.

I'm so envious of the "I don't want the summer holidays to end" people, because I am drowning. Juggling work between sporadic childcare, caring for a child with complex health needs and trying to prepare another one for secondary school, plus making fun memories... exhausting. I need routine again!

One child at table tennis training camp, the other napping, so it was the perfect time to get some life admin done.

It was worth the early alarm to watch the sunrise with my eldest this morning. In all the chaos, it was lovely to have a special moment with him...and then he jumped in the sea for a swim with his friends 🤦♀️😂

2 months since I decided to start taking care of myself again. Not a massive change in how I look, but I'm feeling so much better. I can walk into the gym without being a bundle of nerves and take a photo without hiding behind my coat 😁
