For news sites, the audience funnel was once an inverted triangle. It should now be an inverted trapezoid. If the top of the funnel is getting narrower (thanks Meta, Google), we must focus on engaging the people in the middle. My annual @niemanlab.org predictions: www.niemanlab.org/2024/12/focu...
