All of the money that changed hands in the Teapot Dome scandal totaled less than $10 million after adjusting for inflation, and it was considered so corrupt we still teach it in high school government classes a century later.
Corruption so pungent, it wafts right off the page:

We all know adjuncts are paid peanuts, have no job security & few benefits. In today's episode of "adjuncts are treated like 💩", I started getting this message in Word on my laptop. Called IT, and unbeknownst to me, adjunct licenses have been downgraded so we can only use Office 365 online.

No woman I know in academia would be surprised by this, but its good to see it documented like this, I guess.
Experimental evidence that students are more likely to contest grades when they are delivered by an evaluator with a female-sounding name.
