Doug Ford refuses to double ODSP/OW. Yet, his government also cut employment programs for disabled people. Last year, he also defunded a 'peer worker' training program I co-facilitated for homeless people on OW. Ford has abandoned disabled and homeless Ontarians. www.thetrillium.ca/news/the-tri...

Only the Green Party has committed to doubling ODSP and OW immediately. None of the parties specifically mention Long COVID or have a plan to reduce infections in high-risk settings.

It is *very* important to understand that Jews were never the only target of the 1930s Nazis and they are not the only targets of today’s Nazis. A Nazi salute is not only antisemitic. It is also racist, ableist, and queerphobic.

People will say these were all “choices” - but to an extent I disagree. If someone is suffering from something that is treatable - or due to financial circumstances - do we not have a duty to help them before we offer them death?

Why are we taking the easy (and cheap) way out instead?

She was only 59lbs when she “chose” MAiD

One of reasons I fear slippery slope into eugenics with assisted dying policies is how little outrage there is when disabled people are harmed

When DNRs are put on us without consent. When - like Stephanie Lavoie - we’re denied the care we need to survive & do MAiD instead

No one speaks up for us

The amount of tax dollars the Federal government of Canada is relinquishing with this tax rebate ($1.8Billion) is more than the Federal Canada Disability Benefit has *per year* in it's budget.

The same government feels spending more than $1.4B/year on disabled folks is not "fiscally responsible."

For the Canada Disability Benefit, the Federal government (Both Liberal and NDP party) voted to budget about $1 billion per year for. Amounting to "up to" $200/month for very few, citing "fiscal responsibility."

The one time rebate to workers?
