The past week has been devastating on so many levels. This was the toughest read by far. The people of #Sudan deserve so much more from the world.

Friends & colleagues have started getting fired & I might be next. It sucks. But it's nothing compared to the impacts the US foreign aid freeze is having in places like Sudan, DR Congo, Ethiopia where millions of ppl rely on US aid to eat, access vital medicine or other life saving support.

What's happening in Sudan right now and since nearly 2 years is truly horrific. People are getting killed, abused, starved on a daily basis. Yet the world doesn't seem to care enough to do something. news.un.org/en/story/202...

The recent attack on the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, in Sudan’s North Darfur, is a blatant violation of children’s rights.

Last week I'm warning Americans that the famine is Sudan is worsening and the humanitarian situation has never been so dire. Today the US decides to stop supporting millions of ppl affected by the crisis, sentencing them to unimaginable suffering. Lost for words.

Global solidarity is dead, and millions of people affected by the inpacts of senseless wars and climate change are paying the price
A global stop-work order on foreign aid will cost many, many lives if kept in place.

As written, it halts ALL ongoing humanitarian relief activities, except food aid, in places like Syria, Sudan, Gaza.

Also halts all global health programs.
