Friends & colleagues have started getting fired & I might be next. It sucks. But it's nothing compared to the impacts the US foreign aid freeze is having in places like Sudan, DR Congo, Ethiopia where millions of ppl rely on US aid to eat, access vital medicine or other life saving support.

What's happening in Sudan right now and since nearly 2 years is truly horrific. People are getting killed, abused, starved on a daily basis. Yet the world doesn't seem to care enough to do something. news.un.org/en/story/202...

Just because international solidarity doesn’t seem to be an election winner right now, it doesn't mean that saving lives and working together to solve the challenges humanity faces is suddenly a bad idea.

AP says the M23 are only in Goma's outskirts so far. Residents are panicking. I expect that the fall of the city is imminent if it hasn't happened already.

The UAE broke its promises and is still arming the RSF in Sudan, ensuring one of the world’s worst humanitarian and displacement crises continues. I will push to ensure the U.S. uses its full leverage and I will seek to block the next arms sale to the UAE.
