Though I was very struck by The Boy And The Heron. Probably the cleverest and most meaningful use of time travel I've seen in a film outside of maybe Interstellar. You can't change your fate, but what if you could reframe the way you relate to it? More heavy lifting than most Ghibli films but lovely

I can’t even fault Stranger Things fans who exclusively analyze the evil twink, cuz as messy as his writing is, his actor’s performance was one of the few consistently good things about the later seasons…
