Diasporas are not a monolith. Some colonial collaborators fled when the colonial structures that benefitted them began to collapse, using their looted wealth to continue to live comfortable lives in the west. The rest of us moved closer to centre of empire to be sheltered from its worst violence.

Listen to "X" community - yes but also some groups in diaspora are exiled from their homelands because they belong to an oppressive class of wealthy political elites. They fled when they could no longer benefit from the oppression of their own people.

honestly I'm basically back to eating the food I normally ate before surgery and it's been fine? I'm sure things could change as time passes. At the same time it's made me conscious that I should eat a more diverse set of meals so it's been fun to just try cooking new things
had watered down meat sauce and pasta for dinner and didn't die. i'm sure i will eventually hit something that takes me out but i'm feeling good about my odds so far. the worst slots game ever
