I think the Greenland threat is a troll. I think.

But it would sure be nice for some senators and GOP house members to speak up now and make it clear that an attack on a nato ally would lead to removal from office

That Trump contacted major oil companies and his political donors about the attack on Venezuela and has not met with Congress is a matter of fact.

This is Trump's world of pure corruption for personal gain, and screw the people of the United States, much less the people of Venezuela on display.

By not having Maria Machado ready and prepared to take the helm after being elected as the legitimate Venezuelan president, Trump becomes another Putin-style dictator.

He is a petty man. Small minded with no sense of history.

He strutted and bragged and now Venezuela is his new toy to play with.

If republicans really want to ban congressional stock trading, why haven’t they done it? Could it be all the money they’re about to make on Venezuelan oil?

Yes, I must concede "it's not really about oil, there are other bad motivations at work here" theory has a significant caveat of "the Trump admin is filled with proudly ignorant people who might actually believe in their tiny brains Venezuela is like a big drum of ACME oil in a Roadrunner cartoon."

Trump’s apologists defend his actions on Jan. 6, 2021 by claiming he merely told the mob to march “peacefully and patriotically.”

The truth: Trump’s speech writers added that phrase. It’s entirely inconsistent with the rest of his incendiary speech, which included about 20 uses of “fight.”

Pete Hegseth, a former cable news personality and the most unqualified Secretary of Defense in history, coming for a decorated combat veteran and astronaut over military conduct is deeply unserious.

Mark Kelly is an American hero who bravely served his country for decades. The US military exists to protect Americans' free speech—not suppress it. Hegseth and Trump clearly don't understand this, and the use of military resources and funding for a sham censure is a disgrace.

It is wildly inappropriate for the Trump Admin to go after its political critics like this—let alone heroes like Sen. Kelly.

Kelly is a patriot who has always put our American democracy first and always supported our servicemembers and the rule of law.

Something neither Trump or Hegseth can say.
