As we head into a new week, please know that your best is good enough. Be kind to yourself. Our fears and anxieties are real, but there is still so much that is beautiful about life. If we can pause and mindfully return to the present moment, we can find calm. May your week be peaceful. 😊

I am so against any wild creature being kept on captivity as pets. The dumbing of these exotic animals is done more often than we know. Ontario Canada is notorious for "roadside zoos" that keep these exotic wild creatures to be gawked at by an uncaring Public.

every experiment re basic income shows that people are *more* productive and more fulfilled. which isn't that surprising; if you have no place to live and are starving, all your effort goes to basic survival, and you're likely to sink into despair.

He has already moved too far right for me. This Gov't is Progressive Conservative. I voted Liberal, my last time doing so. @timlouiskitcon.bsky.social
Gerry Nicholls: If Carney moves too far to the right, especially on environmental issues, he risks alienating his own political base and possibly creating a rift within the Liberal Party. The prime minister likely knows this.

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
"Canada Post is on track to lose money" Hum. Duh. It cost less than a toonie to send a letter across Canada.

"Canada Post is a service and not a business" was common knowledge until late stage capitalism brain rotted most people into think if it ain't making money for shareholders, it's failing.

All these media connglomerates should be dismantled. No one company or person should own multiple and same type of Media. This is why the world is in the mess it is. We are listening to the same voice
Hey Canada, keep Nexstar and Sinclair OUT OF CANADA
A list of Nexstar affiliates. The company owns stations across networks (e.g. CBS, FOX) and includes secondary stations like GritTV, Ion TrueCrime, MeTV, and others depending on the market.

Although Ford was sneaky in more ways than one, I'm sorry but this is Not an excuse for willful ignorance on the part of #Ontario voters.
Ontarians screwed up not once, not twice but THREE TIMES despite the evidence right in front of their noses.
Offering excuses only serves Ford's agenda!

Our votes ceased to matter in 2018 here in Ontario. Just like in the US last November.

Well, Ontarians voted for this authoritarianism, climate deniers, uneducated Government
Here is Minister John Lohr's letter to the municipality rejecting the plan. I'm struck that (among other things) he objects to a requirement for EV-ready parking spaces. In the province's own climate plan, electric vehicles are required to to the province's GHG emission reduction goals

From stable to “melting fast”…the climate is changing at a pace almost too fast to accurately document.

Scientists thought this Argentine glacier was stable. Now they say it's melting fast
An iconic Argentinian glacier, long thought one of the few on Earth to be relatively stable, is now undergoing its "most substantial retreat in the past century," according to new research.

The infamous US DOE climate report, written by a bunch of climate misinformers, claims that "sea level [is] rising at a lower rate than predicted" by the IPCC up to 2050.
Not true. If you simply take the observed rise and extrapolate (blue), you get the same rise as IPCC predicted by 2050. 1/2

Let’s be clear:
Prime Minister Mark Carney NEVER said: “We will sign a deal with the United States”

What he said was: “We will ONLY sign a deal that is the right deal for Canada”

If a deal wasn’t reached is because at the very least it wasn’t fair.

If it does not say made in Canada or Product of Canada, do not buy. The Flag is deceptive even on the Super market shelves. Read the print.
🇨🇦 Canadian Shoppers:

Campbell Soup closed its Canadian plants a few years ago but they are putting a Canadian flag on soups sold in Canada. They justify it by stating that the soup recipes were created in Canada. This is deceptive advertising.
