NB. It's really important to dial in the correct number of toes. If you forget it may look confusing.
this is demonic. sorry to say but if you do this you should be shipped to a desert island away from the rest of us who still have human souls

Did he doubt or did he try?
Answers aplenty in the bye and bye,
Talk about your plenty, talk about your ills,
One man gathers what another man spills.

Saint stephen will remain, all hes lost he shall regain,
Seashore washed by the suds and foam,
Been here so long, hes got to calling it home.

Watching The Right Stuff after dinner and a shot of Bepi Tosolini Grappa. This is not so bad.

Remembering 30 years ago with my first Christmas in Wales. It was cold, but a friend came to visit from Germany and she brought influenza. The temperature shot right up!

Not bad as a quiz. Some simple Qs, and some quite obscure. 68%

This photo has not been published before. It shows four individuals singing Christmas carols at night, holding songsheets and little 'Rupert Bear' cardboard lanterns. It was probably taken in 1991, with maybe a dozen teachers and language students singing together. Gross, isn't it. I'm in the back.

160 days straight. Well, yes, it does fire up my imagination in the mornings.

"Zed's dead, baby, Zed's dead" becomes a sad quote now, on hearing that actor Peter Greene has died.

Delightful seasonal thread, to which I have little to add other than one time working in a restaurant when a waitress came to the kitchen and said,

"There's a customer who wants their tea black. Where do we keep the black tea?"
man i have never had as many stupid questions as when i worked at Lush, just thinking about it now and we really put retail workers Through It don't we

I received a Christmas card in an envelope, posted from another continent, and in it the sender invited me to pick a time for a Skype. 😭

There are one or two obituaries that would make a wonderful Christmas present for all the world.

This is the best analysis I’ve read about Trump’s alignment with Putin, and the future for Ukraine and Europe

And it accords with my optimism. On the ground, Ukraine and Europe can resist the globalist oligarchs

It was in at the deep end this morning. There was one city I knew that had a large pool of water in front of it, but it wasn't that one. But when the docklands showed up I knew where I'd seen it before. 2/6.

I heard one about Jonah, and it really was a whale of a gag!
I had a joke about Methuselah but it got really old.
I had a joke about Esau, but I got hungry and sold it.

Going on X is rather like going to the Colosseum during a holiday in the late Roman period. You might watch wild beasts chasing other animals, or see lions ripping people apart, or men hunting the beasts, or trained fighters attacking each other - lots of variety.
