Ah, that's the big one. I use Slater's 'small, rich' recipe, but leaving out the hazelnuts. Will be doing it this week.

It would help if General Science classes continued so that kids could learn how pulleys, taps, furnaces, book spines, sewing machines, etc, etc, actually work.

You can sometimes drown it out by using flash, but only (IIRC) if you have enough control over the speed and aperture of the camera/device. I wouldn't have done any better if I was just walking in on the situation.
