After returning (mostly) triumphantly from Toronto, I'm armed with a new view on the concept of a metagame in limited. I provide some insight into why that's an important thing to consider when getting scrappier in drafting and deckbuilding, and lay out some specific tools within ECL.

2-1ed my second draft for 31st! Pretty janky elementals/vivid deck with a terrible curve but a lot of closing power. Lost to a much better elementals deck

6-2 and I get to draft tomorrow! Vibes were low at 2-2 but I ran into some really favorable matchups in the back half (my creatures were bigger than theirs and I drew pitiful fists)

I've put a lot of work into my cube since it was featured at cubecon, I'm very happy with where it's at, and I'm? beyond excited to show it off at CSCE 😘
Our first cube of CSCE is @sampratt.bsky.social's Arena Cube! Pull up to the function with some of the biggest and boldest creatures of modern-day Magic, backed up by all the all-timer spells you can name. Or just hit people with Rotting Regisaur until they die.

I've been trying to focus on gameplay review a lot more, this is a very straightforward deck and I still found half a dozen spots where I found new lines I could have taken or just straight up made the wrong play
This is in the pantheon of the most busted decks I've ever drafted. A clean 7-0, the draft and games took exactly 1 hour. 18 elves and 0 removal spells btw

Did some sealed practice tonight. I've been building a lot of sealed pools this week and this was by far the easiest pool 😅😅😅 5-1 in matches, would be ecstatic to open something like this in Toronto this weekend
