This morning I woke up to watch Spurs have just a single shot on target in 90 minutes, right at the goalkeeper.

This evening I bailed on friends to watch the Crew have a single shot on target in 90 minutes, right at the goalkeeper.

The Beautiful Game.

I live for seeing people who have never watched Sean Zawadzki play soccer, rage about his inclusion to our shitty national team.

Good for Sean. I hope he is happy and proud, dude puts in the work wherever is needed.

Crew are pretty good at almost all segments of the game...

But the one they struggle with, they really struggle. 11 is most in the league, only one other team has more than 7 conceded in the first 15 minutes

One gap that I see in MLS development is players willing to take players on and beat people off the dribble.

Americans represent ~42% of MLS players, but American with the most take-ons attempted in MLS is Diego Luna, all the way down at 35th in the league.

I cannot get over how satisfying this goal is to watch. The Crew v Caps game in June is going to be a treat

Mo Farsi a deserving TOTW inclusion. Really interesting to see Mo/Crew evolving a bit so far this year

While Crew wingbacks have always gotten forward, Mo had a career high 7 touches in the penalty box. He has the 4th most touches in the box among all players in MLS #Crew96

I don't want to be part of the Columbus Crew Cucho doom machine, but him leaving is disappointing at every level.

I trust that they will replace him, and that our core is good enough that this team will continue to compete. But I love Cucho, he was on his way to being an all time great.

Replaying Disco Elysium and damn if it isn't one of the most beautiful works of art I have ever gotten to experience. The art, writing, music, and themes all combine to create something so beautiful and so alive.

Honestly can't believe I get to enjoy in this era of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Columbus Crew at the same time.

Much deserved call up for Max Arfsten, excited for folks to discover his game!

Dude is incredibly two footed, could have an entire highlight reel from 2024 with just his non-dominant right

(Though offseason friendlies with a bunch of unfamiliar players aren't usually the best for that)

I am 100% serious that one of my favorite things about American Football is that the rulebook is so big and full of obscure archaic things that every few years you get to see someone exploit some dumb rule that hasn't been referenced in 50 years.

29 teams are scheduled to play through an international window in this MLS season. I bet you can guess who isn't...

1.88 G+A/90 is unprecedented in this league and hard to argue against.

But I will always love what Cucho brought to the Crew in 2024, and can't understate his value to the Crew and the league. Hope he stays with the Crew for a long time, his time for this award will come
Lionel Messi has officially been named 2024 MLS MVP after his 20 goal, 16 assist campaign.

Messi took 38.4% of the vote, ahead of Columbus's Cucho Hernández (33.7%), Portland's Evander (9.24%), DC United's Christian Benteke (7.10%) and Miami's Luis Suárez (2.17%).

Got a theater to myself for a showing of Heretic, which I thought was a really interesting film & examination of religion.

The first half or so of the film was almost set up in a way that could have made a killer stage adaptation, and I enjoy tension/horror built purely off the power of the actors

This isn’t a popular Johnny Cash opinion but I think after Highwayman he should’ve done a lot more songs where he flies a spaceship
