It’s admittedly not perfectly thought out. Because all established mls signings under him have sort of failed (Gressel, DeJuan Jones, Gazdag).

But I’m not convinced that Nancy and Issa have really figured out the secret to talent identification in his system, and may be overthinking it a bit.

I’m toying with a thesis about the conundrum of Nancy being very particular in the type of player he brings in, but his biggest successes have been getting the most of players that weren’t his transfers.

Cucho, Moreira, Zawadzki, Arfsten, Schulte, Morris, all adjusted to fit Nancy

Take-Ons are not the end all be all of stats for determining this, there are technically gifted Americans in MLS. But even watching this US national team, seeing the lack of domestic wingers feels like a gap (or we just play them at fullback...)

Obviously wingers and players comfortable with the ball at their feet are common DP targets, so the stats are a little self fulfilling.

But curious to see how we can develop more young players with both the technique, but also the confidence to do it in a game.

Ope, he absolutely is! I just completely looked past him!

That means that every healthy player from the January camp got put on this list, which is also an interesting tidbit!

Every player on the January Camp roster is on this list except Jalen Neal and Jesus Ferreira. Neal is hurt. Ferreira left camp early, but kind of damning to be the only healthy guy left off.

Wingback depth is important, but with Herrera and Jones it is kind of crazy for the Crew to have 2M of salary that don't even make their first choice XI.

Extreme depth in some areas, but really anxious about that big difference maker.

I hope we get more limited budget Star Wars shows similar to it that can just aim at more niche audiences. When you spend 230M on a show it impossibly needs to be a hit with all Star Wars fans, but about 50% of star wars fans are the worst people I have ever met.

Maybe a silly question but what is the advantage of getting paid to do a buyout vs just doing a genuine player transfer?

I unironically love Abraham Romero. He claps along with the Nordecke, & plays with the aggression and passion of a linebacker while in the most unlinebacker-like role

He doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve, he holds it in his fist and will hit you with out outside the box just to prove a point.
