Our concert on the 18th is a percussion bonanza! Here is a list of all the percussion instruments we will be using in these three fabulous scores by Rózsa, Kodály, and Rota. And, of course, we have a Cimbalom, a celeste, a harp, and a piano!

Have you seen the Ipcress File? Do you remember the theme tune?

That distinctive "twang" in John Barry's music is made by a Cimbalom. Well, on the October 18, at Smith Square Hall you will be able to see one! Not playing the Ipcress theme, but in Kodály's Háry János Suite.

Salomon is at the Sinfonia Smith Square on the 18th October, 2025, conducted by Graham Ross in the opening programme of our "Stage and Screen" season.

Salomon is delighted to welcome Charlie Lovell-Jones as soloist in Britten's Violin Concerto in our next concert at Smith Square Hall (formerly St. John's Smith Square) on June 14.

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War, and May 8th is the anniversary of VE Day.

The first rehearsal for our concert on the 9th of February at Smith Square Hall (previously St John's Smith Square). We're looking forward to working with Christopher Stark on this programme of American music.

Salomon wishes all our members and followers a very Happy New Year. Now the festive season is over we can turn our attention to the next concert. An all-American programme of music by Schuman, Copland and Beach at Smith Square Hall (previously St. John's Smith Square), Sunday, 9th February at 16:30.

On Sunday, December 15th at the Royal College of Music Salomon will again support Martyn Brabbins' conducting masterclass.

Following Salomon's recent performance of Mahler's Seventh Symphony, the next two concerts in the 24/25 season are planned and ready to go, so make a note in your diaries for Sunday, February 9th, and Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at Sinfonia Smith Square (previously St. John's Smith Square).
