I got lost today (a common occurrence) and ended up having to walk along a main road back to my car. On the verge, I found a series of abandoned pages from a photo album. How and why did they end up here, and what would the album's owner have made of this odd destiny 43 years ago? So many questions.

This showed up on the Urbex and Abandoned Places feed because they used the decay hashtag and I'm not mad

Ever since Libby did me dirty and deleted all my tags and saves I don't know who to trust with my information hoarding. I put everything into Google apps but they recently started deleting everything from the servers if you don't use your google workspace account for 6-months which evicerates trust

Ponder of the day, whose idea was it for porn women to contort their eyebrows into the confused face and how has the widespread availability and use of botox affected this

Look I'm just as guilty of making assumptions and judgments about randoms as the next guy but I find it disheartening when people assume others' actions are performative and it makes me think the assumer is projecting and that they are actuallly the performative one in some way or another

This checks for me. One thing I hated about Orange Theory Fitness was the brief period of time before class started when we all were wearing our heart rate monitors and the coach would give a motivational speech/intro and my heart rate would already be blasting orange on the screen in a sea of green

About 20 years ago when I started hunting/collecting vintage & antiques I found an old pin that said KILL A COMMIE FOR CHRIST. I was amazed that somebody wore this thing, authentically. It seemed so far away. Ancient history. And now, here I am two decades later seeing it in the flesh. It's surreal.

The best part about closed caption (besides understanding what they're saying) is that it shows the name of the artist and title of the song as soon as it starts playing so I don't have to obsess on that. Also shoutout to Netflix for their beautiful captioning, really setting the standard over there

I made too much slaw for fish tacos and I refuse to let it go bad because I have converted to a life of frugality when it comes to food so I have been eating fish tacos morning, noon, and night for days. Not sick of them yet. Maybe I should start doing this, just cycle every 4-7 days, same meal 24/7

Because they are consumed with the whimsical witchy aesthetic and 70s hair. I wish it were deeper than that but it's just the curtain bangs and a need to be seen as an alt hippy who goes against the grain. Algorithms have turned them into trend sluts with no actual identity (sorry for my pessimism)

I’ve read Kim Kelly’s work on labor for years. She’s treated her readers, teenagers and professors, with respect, while breaking it all down so it made sense. Thank you. A travesty to end the very thing, writing on politics and labor, that set Teen Vogue apart from all the others.
“Since 2018, labor columnist Kim Kelly brought the labor beat to teenage readers through her “No Class” column, covering everything from wildcat strikes to general strikes, the Gilded Age labor organizer Mother Jones to contemporary Amazon warehouse conditions.” 💔 thisislaborwise.com/teen-vogues-...
Teen Vogue's Closure and the Quiet Defunding of Worker Consciousness
Teen Vogue’s shutdown marks more than a media loss. This is a warning about how profit-driven consolidation quietly dismantles worker awareness and voice.

Ponder of the day, I wonder how much of an impact Shrek had on Smash Mouth's success. I still have those songs stuck in my head 25 years later. My son was at the right age for Shrek obsession though, so maybe I was simply one of the infected. Yes I meant to say infected, not affected. It's a disease
