"Kilmar Abrego Garcia...and his family are being unlawfully persecuted only because the infant in the WH can't admit he was wrong."

Kilmar Abrego Garcia prayed with his family and embraced his wife before being detained again on Monday by immigration authorities.

He and his family are being unlawfully persecuted only because the infant in the WH can't admit he was wrong.

Shame on Trump and his minions for this!

Before his immigration check-in, Kilmar Abrego Garcia delivered an emotional plea to immigrants and the immigrant rights community. “Regardless of what happens here with ICE, promise me this that you will keep fighting, praying, believing in dignity — not only for me but for everyone,” he said.

As Putin was landing, a rush hour protest in Anchorage sent a clear message about how we feel about it.

This was as things were dying down - the crowd was fantastic, we got hundreds of honks, and I got to hand out a bunch of my handmade protest kites!

Alaska and Ukraine are NOT Putin’s to take.

Fascism is here. We are not “getting closer” or “in danger of.”

This matters because it frames our discussion: We aren’t trying to prevent it, we’re trying to defeat it. It’s not taking over our institutions, it’s taken them over.

Otherwise, we’re always behind, fighting a past we’ve already lost.

Great article touching on the history of Alaska and Russia’s relationship and the way the war in Ukraine has impacted that.

Also, looks like the Trump Putin meeting will be in Anchorage, based on the Secret Service renting out 6 units here.
Got to help out with this story — so curious how they’ll work out the logistics for this visit in the middle of tourist season.

So Trump and Putin will meet in Alaska next week, very likely in the military base in Anchorage (though the location has not been announced).

Protests are already being organized all over the state. Tell me - what’s the funniest way to mock these fragile dictators while they’re on our soil?

Are Americans aware that down here in Mexico we’ve been getting bombarded for months with ads of Kristi Noem telling us to our face that we’re out welcome in the US, and that these ads even found their way into our national TV broadcasts

Because I feel like I have seen nobody mention it

Fittingly enough, OpenAI’s description of the logo says:

“The design embodies the fluidity and warmth of human-centered thinking through the use of circles, while right angles introduce the precision and structure that technology demands.”

There are no circles or right angles in it.
I am bothered by the OpenAI logo. It looks like it’s intended to be two interlocking rounded triangles, but it doesn’t line up on the parts that look like they’re passing under the other parts. Much like how AI images often have things disappear when they pass behind things.
