Why is Trump waging a war on public broadcasting and the Department of Education?

Because he wants us less informed, less knowledgeable, and less connected.

This attack on our minds is central to the fascist playbook. youtu.be/rEH7sF6pA4s?...

As I've been saying, tariffs aren't paid by other countries.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking the Dept. of Education, science, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

It's fascism.

“One Big Beautiful Bill”?
Try one big, bold-faced lie.

They swore this mess wouldn’t add to the deficit…but the nonpartisan budget office says otherwise.

$2.4 TRILLION added to the deficit—and for what?
Tax cuts for the rich.

Electricity demand in the U.S. is surging for the first time in decades, partly because of data centers needed for A.I., and power companies are already struggling to keep up. Some of President Trump’s policies risk making things worse.
Electricity Prices Are Surging. The G.O.P. Megabill Could Push Them Higher.
The combination of a data center boom, rising gas exports and cuts to clean energy tax breaks could spike American energy bills, analysts say.

Rep. Jake Auchincloss isn’t mincing words: Trump and the GOP are tanking the economy, gutting healthcare, and cutting Veterans’ benefits—all to fund tax breaks for the wealthy.

And when Americans demand answers? Republicans hide from town halls.

Cowardice isn’t leadership.

In 2017, Trump gave a $2 trillion tax cut mostly sucked up by billionaires and big corporations.

But it was so expensive, Republicans set many of their tax cuts to end after 2025.

Now, Republicans want to steal from working people to pay for more tax cuts for billionaires.

Americans are suffering under the weight of sky-high housing prices.

Today, I’m re-introducing my bill with @warnock.senate.gov and @cleaver.house.gov to build 3 million new homes, bring down rents by 10%, and cut red tape that drives up costs.

Congress must act.
