By now we should have actually reached a stage of collective consciousness that automatically boycotts this shit.

I know it’s intentional but we should stop calling everything AI, lumping useful machine learning techniques for science with large language models that tech companies are trying to cram into everything.

It is still the case, even in most well meaning research institutions, that the humanities is basically used for embellishments, and is not allowed to be a part of critical inquiry.
And this is why cutting funding to humanities and social science research (hello Aotearoa New Zealand) while also claiming to be addressing issues like climate change is shooting yourself in the foot, and complete nonsense.
And linking all of these? And more importantly the key to action, and change: Culture, heritage, people.

Reading should be a joy and not a chore. If you're not in the mood or can't find just the right book, it's okay to take a break. I've never been a constant reader. We all have our own unique relationship with books. And, books are always there when you're ready for them.

The whole purpose of studying climate change is to build a better future for ourselves, and the planet.

What the hell is the point if we know we’re just going to continue bombing and killing each other?

Hope is low. So hard to continue.
