Still prefer to a fired college football coach this year, but I wouldn’t be opposed to that work schedule and salary.

Omg! He has no clue what he is talking about! I found asbestos on a small roof sealing project and everyone panicked and it required a specialist to come in and remove it. Adding several weeks to the job. These clowns demoed it in a week. I hope there wasn’t asbestos.
WELKER: Why didn't the president tell the public he was going to tear down the entire East Wing, which as you know is part of the people's house?

BESSENT: Well, I think this was a judgment call on the president. The president is a master builder. It could've been asbestos. It could've been mold.

This is wild.
Coincidence or not, that’s pretty crazy.

This dangerous. I already think online sports betting is a bad thing but at least it is on the outcome of things happening live on a field or court which the better can’t really influence. This… this is just wrong.
Because you’re not betting enough. None of you are betting enough. 🤡

1. More Americans work at the Cheesecake Factory than in the entire coal industry, and that won't change. It's because of automation, not snooty libs.

2. Coal energy is now more expensive than wind and solar.

3. So this means: higher energy prices, more pollution, no jobs benefit. Genius!
Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Fox: "We're announcing today expanded programs to help the American coal industry. We're helping it because for years it has been under assault. It was out of fashion with the chardonnay set in San Francisco, Boulder, and NYC ... coal just makes the world go round."

There isn’t a single successful revolution in history that wasn’t organized. The United States exists because people didn’t just protest; they built networks, raised money, and supplied an army. Disorganized resistance doesn’t scare power. It gets ignored.
But anti-Trump sentiment lacks structure. Democrats aren't willing to use that energy, to their immense discredit. And it's frustrating to now see so many people on the left denigrate efforts to structure it from the bottom up, preferring a fantasy of anonymous, organic protest and resistance.

Listening to Tim Miller talk to Stuart Stevens (both Never-Trumpers who left the GOP) yesterday and hearing Stevens basically say Mamdani could be a good mayor is mindblowing. The Never-Trumpers understand the assignment.
Linking anti-Trumpism to wealth redistribution can blind us to the fact that some of the strongest opponents of Trump are basically conservatives - people who mostly support preserving US society and government as it existed in 2015. We want those people on our side, we need them.

currently listening to @mikeduncan.bsky.social 'Revolutions' podcast about the American Revolution. There is a lot of actions the current administration is taking that would piss off the colonies.
I mean, nothing matters any more, but it's worth pointing out that preventing demagogic leaders from controlling the money supply was one of the *central issues in the American Revolution*.
Vance on undermining the Federal Reserve: "I don't think we allow  bureaucrats to make decisions about monetary policy and interest rates without any input from the people that were elected to serve the American people...POTUS is much better able to make these determinations."
