One of the more lowkey toxic things we are taught from a young age is "Just be yourself!" It's a message rooted in positive intention, but fairly misguided. Be yourself, with the good parts of yourself. For the other parts, strive to be better! Don't settle. Change yourself for the better.

it's always been so amusing to me when people just assume or guess my political leanings based largely off my ethnicity. But it's even funnier now because they're assuming it based off of where I placed Bad Bunny in halftime show rankings 😂 online stupidity knows no bounds

Bad Bunny's halftime show at Super Bowl LX rose to the occasion.

So, where exactly does his performance rank among the greats?

@saadyousuf126.bsky.social has it in the top 10, narrowly above Kendrick Lamar's show last year 👀

in another era of our country — the one where we had full units multiple years in grade school called "The Melting Pot" — this sort of halftime performance would be widely recognized as an example of the American dream.

Might be the best-written of these I’ve ever seen (and not just because he nails the top 2 and - in some order - the top 8. Just gets why things do/ don’t work, and clear on his leanings.

And look, just the thought of the 9-11 names and Bono’s understated flag moment has me tearing up.
Like the Seahawks & Patriots, I’ve been busy watching film this week… aka rewatching every Super Bowl halftime show since 1991.

I have put together a ranking of all 35 of them, with a carefully curated methodology. Lot of fun. Feedback is welcomed 👇🏽

The football gods listened to our cries and ensured us a Chiefs-less Super Bowl.

But now, you're stuck watching the Patriots again.

Remember, we need to treat humans like humans, as long as they share a similar ancestry to you and have the same passport. Only then are all human beings, human beings.

Bill Polian may be the one on the front lines getting it for the Belichick snub but you'll never convince me that Robert Kraft isn't the orchestrator behind this, or at the very least has a significant role.

Asked about Minneapolis, Victor Wembanyama says, “PR has tried, but I’m not going to sit here and be politically correct.”

Then says “it’s crazy that people make it seem like … the murder of civilians is acceptable.”

All regular season long, I did a weekly column in which one section was the "Road to Santa Clara." That was my top-five teams I believed were in position to win the Super Bowl.

Here was my Week 18 edition 👀

Jaxon Smith-Njigba doesn't have elite unique stature. He doesn't have an elite quarterback. He doesn't have the typical diva personality that comes with top-tier wide receivers. Doesn't make headlines off the field for the wrong reasons.

All he does is ball out.

so, you’re saying there is a big government entity that is murdering innocent people in cold blood and justifying it by saying that they have the right to defend themselves? And you don’t like it? interesting…

An independent autopsy of Renee Good reveals that she had 3 gunshot wounds: to the left arm, right lung, and left temple that exited the right side of her head. That means the third shot, the most unlawful one, from the side, likely killed her. abc7.com/post/minneap...

In a 10-min span: A playoff game ended in OT (with some controversy), starting QB for the winning team was shockingly ruled out for the season, the losing coach went on a rant, a non-playoff team hired their head coach and another playoff game began.

This is why I love this job.

To end the 2023 season:

— Sam Darnold was Brock Purdy's backup in San Francisco.
— Jarrett Stidham started the final two regular season games of a non-playoff Broncos team after Russell Wilson was benched.

Two years later, both are starting conference championship games.

Breaking Bad (not just the last episode but the last few)
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

ICYMI: Before the playoffs began, I ranked all 14 teams by their bandwagon-ability (s/o @DownGoesBrown again for sponsoring my career).

So far, the higher ranked teams are 3-0.
Bears (5) vs. Packers (7)
Rams (6) vs. Panthers (11)
Bills (2) vs. Jags (4)
