Incredibly flexible simulator brought to you by the talented @michielcottaar.bsky.social. Can feed arbitrary sequences (e.g. with pulseq) and model lots of microstructure features (diffusion, permeability, susceptibility, MT). Allows multimodal simulations. Fully documented and open. :)

For all women in science Eleanor Maguire should be an inspiration. Unlike Rosalind Franklin, her contribution was fully appreciated during her lifetime. So it is fitting that in 2008 she was awarded the Rosalind Franklin medal by the Royal Society. #neuroscience #psychology

Great to see this in @elife.bsky.social and very nice piece by Anas. I hope he is right about the brighter future.
Anas is a PhD student in Morocco, home to the world’s oldest university, Al-Qarawiyyin.

This rich academic history can count for little against the obstacles faced by researchers in the global south. The future, however, looks brighter than the past.

Point of View: Being a PhD student in Morocco today
Early-career researchers in the Global South have to overcome obstacles that are not found in high-income countries, but in Morocco at least, the future is looking brighter than the past.

Early days, but it looks like our authors don't think we need an impact factor either! Submissions are strong in numbers and high quality since the Clarivate/WoS announcement. We should not let a multibillion dollar company dictate how science is evaluated!
Following the news that eLife will not receive an Impact Factor in 2025, we’ve shared an update on how our model is doing since we were first placed “on hold” by Web of Science, and what we’re up to now. Find out more.
