There’s a Star Trek TNG episode where they ask the computer to make an original Sherlock Holmes story, and get the elements of two existing stories haphazardly smashed together. This show was really on the ball sometimes.

After watching the Night Manager premiere, there’s an extremely stupid thing this season can do that would ruin the whole thing, and I’m hoping against hope they don’t do it but deep down I know they probably will.

No, "Conformity Gate" didn't "improve the ending of Stranger Things." Y'all are high!

First off in order for the conformity gate to make sense, it required a reading of the finale divorced from what the finale was actually doing. A complete media illiterate reading.

The Assassination of Jesse James, one of the greatest westerns ever and a breathtaking monument to the possibilities of human creativity. And now Andrew Dominik’s pissing it all away as a sex monster and AI whore.
What's your favourite thing that's been made by an absolute cunt?

Movies should be allowed to be just an hour or so if that’s what the story can comfortably cover, without needing to pad themselves to an arbitrary minimum length. We used to do this until the mid-‘40s and should go back to it.
This place needs some Innocuous Discourse pronto. Quote this with a take that’s not political or aggressive

Great trick The Piano plays on all the guys just in it to ogle nude Holly Hunter. “Go right ahead, but it comes along with nude Harvey Keitel.”

The best thing about the Stranger Things finale is teasing us with a horrible "Look, the bad guy was actually a totally good guy all along" ending, before saying "Psych! You didn't think we'd be that stupid, did you?"

I will never forget how this moment felt when I first saw it. I was like "Is this what people felt when they saw Star Wars back in 1977?"

That moment where heroes you never thought you'd see together finally teamed up. And ofc, the Alan Silvestri theme playing in full for the very first time.
