Bad technology. Electronically operated locking pin on the fuel filler cap has failed. The pin moves freely so it appears to be electrical. Short term solution is remove two bolts that secure the latch to the filler ring. Gets a few strange looks when filling up . . .

Good news / sad news: Said goodbye to the Bonneville yesterday and hello to my first BMW 😁 Will absolutely miss the Triumph's character but wanted a bike with more features and higher performance. I suspect the new bike is just a little more capable than I am 😬
