Today Boston said it loud and said it clear: immigrants are welcome here!

So many community members came together with my Counci colleagues & colleagues in government to lock arms with our immigrant communities & reaffirm exactly who we are.

Immigrants make this city, & this country, great.
Trying to keep your bills manageable this winter?

As the cold drives energy costs up, Boston’s city-run Boston Community Choice Electricity program can help ease the burden. Basic and Standard plans cost less than Eversource, with no change to your service.

We’ve has long stood with Haitian TPS holders and all immigrants. In December, the Boston City Council unanimously passed my resolution opposing the end of TPS, and we spoke out at a Congressional Field Hearing with Rep. Pressley and Sen. Markey. 📞 Call (202) 224-3121 to urge support for H.Res. 965.

BREAKING NEWS: A federal judge has blocked the Trump Administration from ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians, pausing terminations and deportations while the case moves forward. This is an important step to keep families together, but the fight is not over.

Happy 100 years of Black History Month! Started by Dr. Carter G. Woodson as "Negro History Week" in February 1926 to recognize the achievements and contributions of Black Americans, it has evolved from a week-long celebration into a full month (albeit the shortest month!).

Grateful to join the ribbon cutting for the new Jean Appolon Expressions Dance Center in Nubian Square. In challenging times, spaces like JAE matter more than ever. To offer healing, resistance, and joy rooted in Haitian and Black expression. Another step forward for a revitalized Nubian Square.

Glad to join municipal leaders supporting the CommonWealth Development Compact—a coalition of 10 regional cities, including Boston, advancing diversity in real estate development. With DEI under attack, cities must lead to ensure growth creates opportunity, ownership, and stability.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, restorative holiday season with loved ones. May the story of Jesus’ birth, of a family seeking refuge and being welcomed, remind us of our call to care for one another and love our neighbors.
