Oh my goodness the outrage about shoplifting! The real disgrace is this unjust, inequitable society.
Poverty is rife + many have very little in the way of choices in an ongoing politically-sanctioned cost of living crisis.
Life should entail a lot more than basic survival

Misinfo ➡️ avoidable deaths

What is this obsession with policing children's toileting?
Come on, many of them are only four when they start school!
Give these families a break, many of whom are parenting disabled children and doing a fabulous job with limited resources.

86% of our UK arms imports come from the United States.

We are far too reliant on Donald Trump - he is unpredictable and dangerous.

Stop hoping it's going to go away. Time to stand up to the bully and to rebuild our relationships outside of the USA.

GLA member for Redbridge & Havering and now the MP for Romford have both now defected to Reform.

The stealth unelected party represention is worrying indeed.

It can feel like a dismal time to be bringing up young kids, but the Greens are going nowhere - the only party offering a real alternative.✊🏻

Once a carer, always a carer.

Care is vital - yet not paid or valued.

Disabled people are disproportionately vulnerable in hospitals.

It's scandalous that carers allowance is withdrawn after 28 days in hospital.

As if we haven't got enough on our plates.

Labour cancelling elections tells me one thing: anyone who does have an election coming up might not get another chance to get rid of their Labour representatives for a long time. So take it.

Vote Green.

If the bus is coming in 3 mins+ I walk.
Earlier, I missed the bus and the traffic was so awful, I overtook not only the bus I missed, but the bus in front of that - beating both to the bus stop on foot!
I get so fed up with dirty, noisy traffic & selfish drivers, but for once, I came out on top!

Yesterday I dragged myself to a very muddy Park Run, and this morning a ran another 5K in the crisp night air with a fox and the moon for company.

Over 1,000 nitrous oxide canisters collected in Moseley, Brum - despite being banned. A public health, environmental & road safety issue, as the city faces a road safety emergency and the UK launches a new strategy today. Our streets shouldn’t look like this

Happy New Year! We're getting back into the swing of things, and happy to see this news over the weekend that we're "leaving the #Diesel age".

Considering the #Health effects of the excess diesel emissions that we're still breathing today, losing diesel from our roads can't come soon enough.
Battery electric cars will overtake diesels in Great Britain by 2030, analysis suggests
London predicted to be the first UK city to go diesel-free, largely because of the ultra-low emission zone

Some disabled people can work.
Very lucky disabled people can work doing a job they love or in which they find fulfilment.

Remember that profoundly disabled people who can't work are enough and MORE 😍, with so much to offer to enrich us as a society in ways that go well beyond the bounds of GDP.

I feel for Toad here.
I know repeat offenders get backs up, but given the inequality knitted into our systems, a bit of a leg-up or a blind eye when we're at a disadvantage goes a long way. I've long suspected the world to be made significantly worse by jobsworths in their miserly officiousness!

@drmk.link is 💯 spot on that:

Whenever I see a celebrity advertising gambling, I wince: they are making money off the back of a lie that actively harms some of the most trodden on in society.

This is really good news. 💙

Can't help but wish it had happened eight years ago so that I could have got my girls jabbed for free as opposed to paying (which isn't cheap!), but really pleased for babies, children and relieved parents across the UK.

Not only is Paddington 2 the best Paddington (I've only seen two, but willing to bet this'll always be true), it's one of the best films.
Hugh Grant is delightful from start to finish.
Comparable to the Muppets bringing out the best in Michael Caine; outstanding performances in two legendary films.
