Think the White House is dug in on masks because they don't want the public to see how many new hires used to belong to supremacist groups.

Canada is pretty good at nuclear science. That would also make them highly attractive partners for favorable EU alliance. Predict we will see them test weapons before Trump's term is over.

This is insane…

US Dollar share of global reserve currency has fallen to its lowest levels this century.

It’s literally unprecedented.

US had so many privileges because rest of world trusted our sanity, judgement, currency, and courts. This administration is destroying that trust which will lead to greater competition, higher costs of capital, and nuclear proliferation.
U.S. tech companies will hit the wall soon. As it is now Europe has no other choice than to break free from them. That the White House sit on a kill switch for everything related to U.S. tech means that they can stop us dead in our tracks. That is of course not possible to accept.

Europe has been our ally for 75 years. This is no way to treat a friend. This is destructive. This is childish. This is dumb.

The USA is controlled by 1 President, 5 Justices, and 50 Senators. You could fit that many on a bus.

Even House at 218 is a small crowd.

Going forward our reforms should include expanding Congress and Supreme Court to reduce our risk of a single cabal seizing power.

After WWII the world swapped imperialism for free trade trade and the global economy boomed from $1 trillion to $100 trillion (real dollars) over the next 75 years. The Trump Administration's preference for "the iron law of power" over rules is certain to backfire economically for all of us.

One result of USA abandoning the international norms will be a growing proliferation of nuclear and biological weapons among the smaller states. They must now protect themselves from all comers including from the USA.

It's a key moment for Germany. They have no choice but to rearm. Will they fund a larger combined European military? Or will they try stay separate? If the latter, they will need their own nuclear weapons soon.
