The new Jeff Tweedy is fantastic, though I’m not confident I’ve heard every song, maybe 25 out of 30, but every song I’ve have heard lands. #jefftweedy

I understand why Springsteen didn’t put Sunday Love out, it’s a whole different persona from what we expect, but damn what a song. #tracksII #bruce.

Been awhile since I gave Pedro the Lion record, Control, a close listen. Wow this is brilliantly dark stuff. #pedrothelion #indierock

I honestly don’t leave my neighborhood that much but when I do it’s hard not to notice the incredible number of foreign tourists in Tokyo. One observation, why is it that the tourists with the worst fashion have the biggest suitcases.

The new @perfumegenius.bsky.social has really interesting dirty guitars which I think is new direction for him. The whole record sounds amazing. His voice is like a clarinet and sits so well in the mix.

Traveling Korea, Ireland and UK the next 13 days. I saw Kim Gordan wearing a shirt that just said, “Gulf of Mexico”. I wish I had a pin with the same. It says just enough to let everyone know I don’t support this bullshit.

Two things true at once. I really appreciate Nick Cave’s heartfelt non-apology for trashing the Red Hot Chili Peppers 20 years ago. Clearly he is very fond of Flea but has yet to find any appreciation for their “garbage” music.

Sold my OP-1. It’s a cool device, lots to appreciate design-wise and the sounds are great. But the workflow wasn’t really working for me after many failed attempts. I really wanted to love it. A larger midi-controller keyboard is probably all I really need. #teenageenginneering #op-1 #homestudio

Downloaded the new Flashes app for Bluesky, it gives you an IG type experience of Bluesky content. It’s very cool but on IG I have a curated community of people I follow, most of whom I know. It’s not just about the format but limiting the window I am looking through. apps.apple.com/us/app/flash...

Strange to say but I think Bluesky could use a touch of algorithm to make sure I see posts in the topics I’m liking. I don’t get any sense it’s learning. I like this place better, but generally the posts in my feed on Threads are better aligned with my interests.

As strange as it seems to me, I was recently featured in a Muji ad as part of campaign highlighting the workspaces and homes of a few different Japan-based creatives. Here is my workshop and studio. I was super flattered as I have always admired the Muji brand and design ethos. #muji #design #studio

I’m a meager record collector. 1-2 purchases a month, 50-50 used/new. Even though I’m a lightweight I sure enjoy the @webuyrecords.bsky.social podcast. I highly recommend. Glad to find them on BlueSky rather than that other place.
