What do we really know about Dutton? Why don't we hear more about his career as a police officer? In his 12 years in the force, he must of made a number of arrests and been involved in multiple investigations. And yet there isn't any reporting on his time there. #dutton #albo

The use of relative risk instead of absolute risk is a huge problem in communicating research findings with the public - can we ‘move the dial in reporting absolute risk? 🧪
A student of mine was very concerned by a news report saying the relative risk of a particular type of brain cancer had gone up by 50% When I looked at the absolute risk it went from 4 to 6 per 100,000. Told him not to worry. People have trouble dealing with absolute v relative risk!🧪
