I love the idea of the Big Rip. It ends not with a bang but a fart.

A terrible slur. Labor is neither responsible or complicit in the tragic events in Gaza. It has maintained a principled commitment to a two state solution and has advocated for Palestinian rights at the UN.

I was canvassing for Labor in Fitzroy and a big message was that the Greens were sandbagging the government on housing and Gaza. The holier than thou attitude went down like a lead balloon.

This is really good policy. It lowers the cost of entry into the housing market without putting pressure on prices, which is the big flaw of first home buyer subsidies. The government will however take on some risk as the lender of last resort. But it will do so in the pursuit of a social good.

Many will come to Australia, and we will be happy to have them.

Don't be evil. Labor is in a life and death fight to prevent Trumpism coming to Australia.

The Irish influence on early Melbourne can be seen in its railways, public buildings and laws. Worth looking at the career of Charles Gavin Duffy.

A fine MP who voted to block the construction of 47,000 federally funded houses - the largest such investment in Housing by the Commonwealth since WWII. An MP whose sole aim seems to be to undermine the Labor. The hard work of reform is uninteresting to him. #greens #bandt #labor

Australia here. It's a big yes. Must be deadly and aggressive.

Agree, but it does require some hard thinking about the senate. Eight year terms for senators is too long and keeping six year terms would set up American style mid-term elections.
Can we we get agreement on four year terms for the senate?
