Fun late morning Saturday bike ride.

- Lots and lots of snow geese (honk!)
- Two very young girls stopped playing in their front yard to say "Hi! We like your bike!!" as I passed by.
- Local farmer was training his new sheepdog. I stopped for a few minutes to watch.

Now home. Warm and dry.

Where has Yuzu Kosho been all of my life? This "simple" fermented yuzu-green pepper concoction is crazy good.

I've been adding it to my lunchtime chicken soup and it's a game changer. A total flavor bomb of goodness.

Is now a kitchen staple.

Yuzu Kosho (Japanese Citrus Chili Paste)
Yuzu Kosho is a spicy fermented condiment made with yuzu citrus and chili peppers. It's the perfect way to add fiery, zesty flavor to hot pots, soups, sashimi, tempura and more!

The sentence is piercing: "The dueling missives from Nuzzi and Lizza show two showboats trying to out-detail each other, with maudlin prose dissecting a relationship that’s portrayed as tortured, but was really just between two careless narcissists." I lowkey might assign this piece in class.
I think @dinfontay.com summed up the moral fracture in journalism really well: “I feel cliché referencing George Carlin, but after a week like this what else can you say? There is a big club, and we aren't in it.”
Moral rot in elite journalism is killing the whole field
The Nuzzi/RFK Jr. mess and the revelation of Esptein's journo pals lay bare a profound moral absence at the heart of our free press.

I'd appreciate recommendations for a (decently intelligent) laymen's intro book to Epigenetics. College level, not graduate.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

I've made the point in the past that Trump's support is based on a coalition of disordered counterpublics which distrust institutions, such as anti-vaxxers, Pizzagate truthers, and the like. Their primary loyalty is to their individual causes, not Trump, and this is the coalition fracturing.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I do support him and his administration ... his remarks of course have been hurtful ... unfortunately it has all come down to the Epstein files ... I will continue to do my small part to get the files released."

One of my favorite films.

FWIW, today's studio scissors are different. Even for most wools. The film's selection was appropriate for time/place. Just out of place in current workshops. I love their attention to detail.
