Seeing endless replays of Australia's first try last week, which included an obviously forward pass in the build-up, I'm greatly disappointed to see that the referee was dead in line with the forward pass, and somehow didn't give it. #rugbyleagueashes #rugbyleague

Also, I was stood next to the St Helens chairman on the Tube after the match last week. He was having a good natter with some other fans, but I restrained myself from asking him to try sticking with one league set-up for more than five minutes.

Watching women's rugby league matches make me think that having a ball half a size smaller would improve things greatly. It just looks a little unwieldy for many players.

We've had another season to add to the records, therefore we've got some updates to teams' best season. Three teams surpassed their previous best; two of them with modern origins, one a bit older. You can probably guess who that is. [1/2]

Also, it appears that gradings will decide all positions for 2027 in #SuperLeague .
Some continuity seems to make sense, even if the gradings themselves might need improvement. [1/2]

Not sure what the rumour mill is saying at the moment, but my expectations for the chances of promotion tomorrow are something like:
London Broncos 80%
York Knights 70%
Toulouse Olympique 45%

As an aside, #HullKR 's average rating this season has just topped 2300, which is historically excellent. Their championship-winning team of 1985 rated 2009. [1/2]

And just like that, the domestic season is done in the UK. #HullKR are champions for the first time since 1985, and well-deserved it is too. Good to see a new name on the #Superleague trophy for the first time since #Leeds won it in 2004, not for the want of trying by various losing finalists. [1/2]
