Thanks, Senator Warren!
If you shop at the grocery store, fill your car with gas, or care about inflation and our nation’s economy, this is your fight too.

These illegally fired FTC commissioners work to hold big corporations accountable—and now they’re suing.

We've got to have their backs.

The US situation has become absurd and embarrassing. The reckless budget-cutting approach of Musk and Trump is both unprofessional and risky.

When Democrats hold the majority, there's an opposition party. When Republicans are in charge, it turns into a letter-writing party.
we have a president with a tenuous grip on small legislative majorities who is out of the gate with a flurry of dramatically unpopular orders and who has just demonstrated his weakness on the international stage. if i were an elected member of his domestic opposition, i might try to draw real blood.

ME: *writing in my journal with the sole aim of pissing off future historians and archaeologists* I returned to my home - which is built in the usual style - by the normal way, and prepared and ate dinner in the way I often but not always do

I wish I could be there—I bet the energy in that room will be incredible!
We are all super excited about this. And the opportunity to screen the finale on the big screen.

This isn’t new at all. Advertisements have always made us feel inadequate, persuading us to buy things to "solve" imaginary problems. My mom recalls how washing machines, though seemingly useful, led to buying more clothes. We used to be content with off-white teeth as well!
My crankiest belief is that we are now being sold on solutions to problems which only exist because we've let others convince us they exist. That is what "innovation" seems to be in 2025.

There's a level of introspection that's just not happening these days re: what actually needs to bother us.

It’s so weird that Elon Musk doesn’t care whether the government subsidizes electric vehicles now that there are a bunch of other companies benefitting from those subsidies.

Our armed forces face significant challenges.
Hegspeth is confirmed. Now What? He has no idea how to manage the Pentagon. So he is going to be dependent on his direct reports. Most of which require confirmation.

The Dems have to use whatever political skills they have to get qualified, rational people in these positions ?

Suggestions ?
