Thinking about title for my talk. Leaning toward something like Poetry in the Age of the Image…I might just fall into it.
In just a few weeks, I will be joining an exceptional group of poets at Baylor University's Beall Poetry Festival, a three-day event showcasing modern poetry through readings, discussions, and lectures.

Revisiting Sharon Olds's iconic poem "Satan Says" this week on the podcast, in a discussion that nerds out about metaphor, point of view, and casting off the hell that is shame.

Thinking about seminar on prayer as revision. How to charm a draft toward music and clarity. Incense or patchouli required.

This would be a small revision workshop for US-based and another for International writers.

I’m applying for an award given by the Modern Language Association for the publication of a literary work—Latinx Poetics—by scholars with no tenure, or in a non-traditional role. Hmm, I think I was unemployed when the book was published. I hope that qualifies.🤞🏼

To those who act with kindness and contend with failures as an opportunity for grace and friendship, thank you. People like me with ADHD and anxiety will sometimes not meet your expectations but don't count us out. I love you.

Had a convo with the managing editor of an established literary journal. We began discussing how ideal it would be if a wealthy literary organization acquired journals struggling to survive. Why not create a consortium to ensure the longevity of small magazines? 👀
