I am on version 10 of my NIH Common Form cv because I spent the last 2 hours doing HTML formatting on the text and finding things I missed formatting.

My heart goes out to all the reviewers who will be reading biosketches next round that are a sea of plaintext with no white space.

Our dentist dropped out of the Delta Dental network and said it was because Delta’s reimbursement to dentists hasn’t increased in the past 20 years or so. Now we only get about 50% of a dental cleaning paid. I wonder if in expensive places like CT or CA dentists earn enough to run a practice.

My postdoc Paz asked how cholera toxin (CT) helps Vibrio cholerae thrive in the gut.

Cholera toxin-induced disease generates epithelial cell-derived L-lactate that promotes Vibrio cholerae growth in the small intestine
Cholera toxin (CT) promotes Vibrio cholerae colonization by altering gut metabolism to favor pathogen growth. We have previously found that CT-induced disease leads to increased concentrations of L-la...
