Incredibly grateful that @rspicuglia.bsky.social trusted me with her story. She could have let this devastating loss calcify into something akin to hatred, and yet she's honored Oscar's memory by staying principled and compassionate.

Yes, fight like hell for individuals like Kilmar Abrego Garcia. But by focusing on “extreme” cases that are such an obvious affront to “justice,” we are letting Trump win, that the horrors of sending HUNDREDS of people to a FOREIGN PRISON WITHOUT DUE PROCESS somehow seems a distant concern.

Yes, fight like hell for individuals like Kilmar Abrego Garcia. But by focusing on “extreme” cases that are such an obvious affront to “justice,” we are letting Trump win, that the horrors of sending HUNDREDS of people to a FOREIGN PRISON WITHOUT DUE PROCESS somehow seems a distant concern.
I see too many posts fixating on the release of one person without demanding a release of ALL those illegally, wrongfully “deported” to prison in El Salvador.
