🧵NOT BY ME, this is a post from someone who wants to remain anonymous but works extensively with trans people pre-transition. They were asked by someone “why do you think that’s so much [coverage of trans people] in the news at the moment?”

This was their response:

That is just so wrong. I hope this improves. I fear it won't.

It's funny, a lot of women work in quality. I wonder what would happen if you got rid of quality jobs....
Oh yeah people would die because quality is important. Smh.

It sadly doesn't help that so many people still have ableist attitudes towards others. They only see what they want to see, and not the struggle that happens every day behind closed doors. What ever happened to helping each other out?

Senna is a plant which is a natural laxative. Too much senna however and you'll be pooping for days if you're unlucky.

Without a pharmaceutical process you won't know what sort of dose you're getting from a Senna plant, I.e. Too little or too much because it's a plant so has natural variation.

I had to get my blood pressure checked several times during my infusion today and popping my arm out via the arm zips was perfect!

Hady first infusion today at hospital whilst wearing my @bibicosplays.bsky.social star hoddie. It kept we warm, was comfortable to wear AND the nurses thought it was amazing!

Been awake since 5:15am. Anxiety sucks.

Trying to not silently dread tomorrow. Expecting a call from my care team but don't know what to expect. Only know they are calling because they called me on a day when I asked not to be contacted. Trying to not be anxious. Failing.

Won't be as ill as I am now. I doubt I'll start my new treatment within 2024. This is the reality of living with IBD. We need better diagnosis and we need better care.

Its not because the people treating us don't care, they do. They just don't have the supports or staff they need.

Take months. I've spent ages this year trying to prove that my initial treatment was making me ill. I've had to stop it and now my condition is flaring again. To get my next lot of treatment my doctors are having to go through processes which take time. I'm currently waiting to get steriods so I

Current wait times in the UK for an urgent referral to Gastroenterology can be up to 12 months. During this time, very little support is available as access to drugs which can properly treat IBD can only be prescribed after diagnosis. Equally, even once diagnosed finding a treatment that works can

This week is Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Week. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis earlier this year. It's been a very rocky year for me, and I'm not currently in stable remission. It can be difficult to diagnose, and people sometimes spend years being unwell before they get their diagnosis.

I've got a cat that's not a big fan either. I'm not much of them too. Sending hugs. Hope they stop soon.

This is why I personally feel that fireworks should only be sold to licenced professionals. They are dangerous, create debris, and can be disturbing to others.
