Finally, a sane decision… Particularly given the number of triple-A and mobile games that push actual gambling at kids in the form of loot boxes etc.
Balatro, the poker-themed roguelite, has successfully appealed PEGI's decision to classify it as PEGI 18 and has now been recategorised as suitable for players aged 12 and up. bit.ly/4be3w38

I've updated the developer console for Godot. In addition to some fixes and QOL contributions, I also added a "add_hidden_command()" function which creates commands that aren't shown in the command list or auto-complete.

This just keeps getting better!
Did a little fun experiment where I directly manipulate the game window and even cursor from inside VR. 🐧🪟🖱️

This answered so many questions I had about referencing properties/functions across Godot scripts.

Now I can at least feel somewhat reassured that I'm not creating an unmanageable pile of spaghetti-code.

Loving Ovani’s SFX and music pack on Humble Bundle - Brilliant selection of really high quality sounds.

Even managed to get their Godot plugin integrated with my Conductor class, so I can have dynamic music intensity in my rhythm game!

The difference between a rogue*lite* and a rogue*like* is that roguelites cling to the cave ceiling and grow downwards whereas rogueLIKEs start at the cave floor and build up :D

Day 3! More editor tools! Embedded range editor, block for adding range+effects (base+scaling).

Man, I wish I had something like that for my last projects, cause manually making new resources for every effect + value you want was.. painful 😅

Has anyone had success creating a Conductor class in #Godot to sync game events with music?

Followed a very detailed example, that takes into account latency and time since last mix, however the beat signals still drift away from the actual BPM after ten seconds or so.

Scratching my head here!

Aside from all the very good reasons to use a code management tool like Git, the satisfaction of being able to look back at a list of commits and see what you’ve actually been doing all this time, makes all the set-up effort worthwhile!
