I've found it really interesting & inspiring chatting w ppl about today's strike. From my few anecdotes, I've seen ppl jump at the chance to feel like they're doing something & even better, to start thinking about the logistics of a bigger general strike: "what does my workplace think of this..."

I’m reading Rocannon’s World, Ursula K Le Guin’s first novel and damn did she come out swinging. In the prologue, a dark skinned woman from a feudal-era species meets a space-faring civilization. The actual 1st thing that happens is a bunch of white people ask to touch her hair 💀

I am both satisfied and disappointed.
Satisfied because Avatar 3 is so spectacular, and I would have regretted not seeing this film on the best possible screen. When you give VFX artists the budget, the time, the art direction (and stick to it), the result is monumental.

It looks like the TF Team messed up and changed something in the Game Coordinator, causing it to fail to acknowledge XP from recent matches, which results in sound spam.
As a band-aid fix to stop the sound spam, you can run this command in the console: tf_mainmenu_match_panel_type 8

Two years ago, I stopped dying my hair red to enter a “natural phase.” Directly thereafter, my physical & mental health collapsed & the US became a fascist hellhole. Today, I will be righting that wrong. Like Samson, who famously got extensions & regained power, I will return stronger than ever.
