JD can't wait to become President so he can trash talk Europe with a vengeance.
The European Commission announced Friday that it was fining Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, for the equivalent of $140 million, saying his company X had breached Europe’s Digital Services Act.

JD Vance, before the fine was even finalized, slammed the commission.
EU fines Elon Musk $140 million for violations of online safety rules. Vance calls it "censorship."
Don’t expect him to face similar hurdles in the US.

Can he pay my heating bill? Health insurance? Grocery costs? How about tightening up gun (safety) laws so I don't have to worry about losing my grandkids before they grow up? Does he have a plan to save the planet from overheating, or from running out of water? Those would be nice things to do.

A gentle man and a fabulous musician. When the Stax sound erupted in the mid-60s, soul music felt as raw and black as a midnight ramble on the Chitlin' Circuit. But Memphis soul was a creation of an integrated band. A night to play Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.

Every 4-5 minutes, a new story breaks. The pace is dizzying. And nearly every story is rooted in a lie, or a lie in development. But, we are earnest and try to keep up, no matter how debilitating the exercise.

Reality check: Van Epps margin of victory was 9%. The swing in favor of Democrats--Trump won the district by 22 points in 2024--was 13 points, not 15. Van Epps won 13 of 14 counties. Credit Aftyn Behn with a hard-fought Pyrrhric victory. Democrats still must learn how to win rural voters.

Indiana contributed approximately 210,000 soldiers, sailors, and marines to the Union during the Civil War. Indiana's war-related deaths reached 25,028 (7,243 from battle and 17,785 from disease). It would be a shame if their sacrifices were sullied by this plot against democracy.
Republicans in Indiana’s State House unveiled a proposed congressional map that could eliminate two blue districts. While the state House could pass the measure this week, the Senate has insisted it doesn’t have the votes to pass the gerrymander.

Excellent piece. “…What are kingdoms but gangs of criminals on a large scale?”

How wretched that so many people acknowledge this truth, yet so few are the ways to remedy the problem.
“'Remove justice, and what are kingdoms but gangs of criminals on a large scale?' Augustine made this suggestion in The City of God. In the country of Trump, we’re getting a convincing demonstration. Justice has been removed and a gang of criminals are in charge."
