MAGA relies on misinformation, nourishment of bitterness in myriad forms, and, in general, a constant dumbing down. You're right; the people who supply all this deserve a special place in hell.

The test, finally, is whether you'll go the whistleblower route or resign from your job. Those are weighty choices and most people don't go there; they choose careerism and a certainty of status. It's easier to observe the naked emperor than to actually declare him unfit and fraudulent.

Can he pay my heating bill? Health insurance? Grocery costs? How about tightening up gun (safety) laws so I don't have to worry about losing my grandkids before they grow up? Does he have a plan to save the planet from overheating, or from running out of water? Those would be nice things to do.

Many folks have more extensive political resumes than I, but in my day, work with the Hawaii Congressional delegation, selected state legislators and county council members led me to learn that politics can drive people crazy. Hyperpartisanship and the need for affirmation chips away at character.
