any chat with more than 7 people is functionally a hangout space, when you text in it you should treat it like youre texting no one. and even small chats are no substitute for dms
the real advice you need to learn is: if you have an ask that actually needs to get done, don't drop it in a group chat. think about your people, pick one who would be good and text them. 95% of the time you don't need to fuckin buy them dinner
