Maybe you won't hear it a lot online, but 2025 was a good year, at least for me. I cut out all the excess in my life, I focused on my own health, happiness, and the wellbeing of my friends and my creative ambitions. Ending the year after growing the most I probably ever have during one.

System Shock coming in clutch in December. Up there with Fuga 1 as one of the best games I've played all year... I realize I am really beginning to enjoy this type of high threat/difficult + tight resource management gameplay, even outside of the (unfortunately) brief moments it appears in RPGs

E33 winning indie awards is a really good barometer of how utterly, almost irreparably mutilated the term "indie" has become in recent years. Really sad (and annoying) even if it is unsurprising thanks to all the underdog stories people want to ascribe to these huge projects

Finished off the demo for 5th Era earlier, and honestly, the whole thing felt pretty messy. It's a bit of a shame, since I was kind of looking forward to it- not saying that I'm entirely off of that now but idk. Less excited about the whole thing for sure.
